Staying at Basecamp in Zermatt was an amazing experience, especially for the breathtaking views of the Matterhorn right from our room. The staff was incredibly engaging and attentive, ensuring all our needs were met. I loved the delicious breakfast options, including made-to-order eggs that fueled our days of skiing. The room we had was spacious, modern, and had a lovely decor reflecting mountain adventures. However, reaching the hotel from the station could be tricky. we accidentally took a steeper route that made rolling luggage a hassle. Despite a few inconveniences, the charming climbing-themed decor and friendliness of the staff made the stay enjoyable.

The downstairs areas felt outdated when compared to the more modern bedrooms, and the sound insulation was lacking, making it hard to sleep when noisy neighbors were around. Additionally, lacking a minibar in the room was a missed opportunity for convenience.
